Where we started....
Salon owner Apryl Kelly, the creator and backbone of Chemically Dependent Hair Studio and Boutique opened in April 2011. CDHS&B was Apryl's dream when she first started Cosmetology school in 2004. But her dream then came reality in 2011 when she opened CDHS&B. She wanted a place where her stylist could come and be comfortable. She created CDHS&B to feel "homey" and give her clients a one on one experience.

Apryl has been a Licensed Cosmetologist since 2005. She recieved her talents from her Grandfather, Michael Carroll, who was a hairdresser and her mother, Kelly Lewis, who is an extremely talented Artist/Photographer.
After graduating from the Bradford Votec in 2005, Apryl worked as an apprentice under a master stylist in Gainesville,FL at a top european style salon, then was promoted to stylist, 6 short months later.
In 2009, Apryl moved to Jacksonville, FL and joined the team at Belk Salon and Spa.
In 2011, Apryl decided to jump in, feet first in opening her dream salon. She has always wanted to own her own salon. She has worked for small business, corporate and now for herself. She loves being able to work for herself and finds it very rewarding being a hairstylist.
She loves creating new color creations along with precison haircuts. Her talents range from fun and sassy to fancy and elegant. She prides herself on using the best color. She also uses the best quality salon products.
